The Archbishop  Borders  School

A Catholic, Dual-Language, Community School

Tuition Assistance

Archbishop Borders School strives to serve all children and to this end, we offer tuition assistance to qualifying families. We receive funds for tuition assistance from the Archdiocese of Baltimore and it is awarded based on need on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any family intending to apply for financial assistance must complete a FACTS financial aid form. Financial Aid awards are determined by the Archdiocesan Board and not at the local school level. You may either obtain a FACTS form from our office, or you may apply online here. Financial aid is awarded on an annual basis.  To ensure continuation of financial aid, applications must be submitted annually. You may now also manage your payments online. To do so, please visit: https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3GFJJ or speak to Mrs. Lopez in the office.

Criteria for Scholarship Recipients / Parent Requirement for Tuition Assistance

Family responsibilities are as follows:

  • Pay all tuition and fees in a timely manner.
  • Be active in the school, its activities, programs, projects, and functions.

Student responsibilities are as follows:

  • Responsible for showing continuous academic improvement
  • Must have good attendance record, and not be late more than 3 times in a 12-week period.
  • Must demonstrate that he or she is working to the best of her/his abilities.
  • Must comply with all school policies.

Students will be evaluated at the end of each quarter. Scholarship money is allocated on a monthly basis and will not be awarded if behavior disrupts the classroom-learning environment. Evaluation of student behavior is made according to teacher consultations with administration, student referrals to the office and number of detentions.

Financial aid decisions cannot always be made by the beginning of the school year. If you have not received financial aid at the time your tuition payment is due (whether paying annually, by semester or monthly), you must pay the full amount due. If you are then awarded financial aid, your account will be credited and/or your payment amounts will be adjusted as appropriate.

Registration and Other Fees

All fees should be paid directly to the school. Receipts will be given for payments.
